Known by Los Angeles cyclists as a sure fire way to rip apart a peloton, the iconic Nichols Canyon climb, with an average grade of 5.4% and a max gradient of 16% just before connecting to Mulholland Drive, has been a rite of passage for many local riders. This fast winding route, with scenic views of Hollywood proper, calls for a brightly flavored coffee with nutty tasting notes of milk chocolate and cherries.
