Emanuel Tres Alto Secredo, Red Blend, Santa Ynez Valley 2013

Emanuel Tres "alto secredo" ("top secret" in galician and portuguese) is a catalan blend featuring primarily syrah noir and a delicious blend of other grapes with a similar origin historically.  made from grapes sustainably grown in the santa ynez valley at camp 4 vineyards.  

the wine is fermented with native yeast in stainless steal tanks before then being transferred to open top containers and fermented until dry. the must is then pressed and transferred into neutral french oak barrels (taransaud) for extended aging (3 years). this blend is terroir driven with classic “old world” character with nice acidity and balance.
