Vignoble Edmond Latour Grenache, Syrah 2017

Formerly Domaine de l’Espigouette, this project is now run by Bernard Latour, his wife, and their two sons. This wine is dark red color, with hints of deep purple with good clarity and brightness. The nose shows laurel, rosemary and fresh herb, almost thyme, then an explosion of black fruits (blackberry, candied cherry). Light oak adds a nice complexity. The palate is powerful and nicely tannic but the tannins are smooth.
